OUR STORY

Hey, I’m Penny.

Mum. Sewer. Business Owner.

Our story

Began in true, old-fashioned kiwi spirit: with a bit of innovation, design flair and DIY.

It was a struggle to find hard-wearing, quality clothes for my kids to wear on the farm. I wanted the kind of clothes I wore as a child, and the kind I saw my grandparents wearing in pictures hanging in the hall.

So I took matters into my own hands, borrowed an overlocker and set to work. Hunched over my sewing table in the dining room, the seeds of H&S were born.

longevity in mind.

Friends wanted clothes for their children, so our first range began with the humble hoodie. My kids became walking models for what H&S would become known for: timeless fashion and quality garments made with longevity in mind.

With a baby and toddler in hand, and designing, cutting and sewing every piece myself, it was time to outsource. Finding an overseas manufacturer with ethical values and detailed workmanship enabled H&S Heritage to flourish into the multi-faceted clothing range it is today.

We’ve transformed from a small dream in my dining room, to a New Zealand heritage brand known for its uncompromising quality and unique design features.

Reminiscent of simpler times, our garments will transport you to days gone by.

And the best part? They won’t go out of style.

With love,
Penny xx
